My favorite type for the longest time is a bit hard to explain since it doesn't exist in very many places and doesn't have a proper English term. "Salted liquorice" is the closest I've heard. It has a wonderful strong flavor... although it's a bit TOO strong at times so I've somewhat switched to toffee-filled chocolate nowadays. They're both equally wonderful, really.
Salted liquorice sounds really interesting! I like salty stuff, but I've never been a big fan of "real" liquorice (as opposed to, like, Twizzlers, lol), so I wonder if I'd like it? I'd definitely try it, though!
And toffees are delicious. Especially crumbled into vanilla ice cream... *_*
